“It Is Beautiful . . . Then Gone” was published in 2005 and surveys my design work from 1991 to 2003. I used this opportunity to go well beyond a portfolio of professional work to include descriptions of my studio and home environment, studies and experiments that were never finalized, and a section devoted to my teaching philosophy and the work of some of my students. The book includes a surprise fold-out showing my artifact-filled studio wall and a bonus index annotating each individual object.
