This is the first of five wall collages that I am installing in our new San Francisco Bryant Street studio. This installation is 9 x 6-1/2 feet and is constructed from our massive archive of photo experiments. These particular pictures date from as far back as 1993 to about 2004. All of them were created before I began regularly using a digital camera so I have all the prints and negatives stored in boxes. It was an exquisite pleasure to handle the raw prints, and this exercise has convinced me to create more prints from my more recent archives which have generally remained as digital files.
